Vegtibles and Garden Plants

  • garden tomato sweetener
    1 small spoonful baking soda

Whether you grow tomatoes in a container garden or a full-fledged vegetable patch, work a small spoonful of baking soda into the soil when you transplant your seedlings. The resulting tomatoes will be noticeably sweeter at the height of summer because the baking soda lowers their acidity.
